Last weekend my washer started doing something strange. We've been using Normal Cycle withought additional options After draining the wash water, during the attempted 1st post wash spin, the display go just go completely blank/dark. I pushed the power button, but no no response. Push start button and thedisplaly comes to life with a PF. I pushed the start button again and the machine resumes exactly where it was in the cycle. It did this a second time over the weekend. Tonight I did a "BobLoad" very full. Selected Normal cycle with either increased soil level or max soil level, hot wash as well as 2 additional rinses. Cycle estimated time was 1:22. The machine did its blank stop once during the wash cycle post drain and spin and then 3 other times throughout the cycle after water had been drained after a rinse and beginning the balance and gradual ramping up spin. And that was the point where it blanked/stopped again. After pushing the start button twice each time, the machine was carry on throughout the cycle. It even stopped once while it was sgradually beginning the post wash spin. Once it stopped before the final spin and finally began to balance for final spin, it completed the final spin without going blank/dark and stopping. Any ideas or anyone else experience this with their LG FLer? Washer was installed November 2021.

PF is power failure aka the voltage goes to low and the computer does an emergency power down.
Basically, it senses the voltage is dipping so fast it thinks the grid is failing. Thus, it writes certain parameters to the non-volatilie memory with the power in it's capacitors so it can do cycle recovery.

It could be a bunch of things, like a wonky connection.
But that sounds more like it's the line filter. That's basically a bunch of small resistors and capacitors filtering any electrical noise as interference suppression - so that radios and TVs don't act up and so the appliances is broadcast law compliant. If one or more of the caps go out off spec, it can cause a behavior like that.
Part number should be EAM63891317 if I didn't mess up looking that up.
That part is a likely culprit and the cheapest in question.


Of course, it could be a capacitor on the main board aswell - but that would be significantly more pricey of a fix.
