Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

I'm staying with my incandescent and halogen bulbs. To me it's just a better quality light. I really like the halogens with it's beautifull clear white light. Makes every thing look sharp. Those CFL's and flourescents make everything look FLAT.

I'm not big on the government telling me what kind of light bulbs I have to buy. I will not support the hype. I will use candles first.

technology is improving by leaps and bounds. It was the same way with CFLs in the beginning and back in my youth with the Edison bulbs.
We just need to give it time and rethink how we work with the new technologies. Our light fixtures are still all too often copies of ones designed for gas or kerosene, no wonder they don't work with newer technologies.

I use mostly florescent lights on the second floor which is

"typewriter room?" Do tell!

We have CF bulbs in every fixture possible, mainly for the electricity cost savings.

This past Christmas we went from the regular C-9 lights outside to the LED ones that I bought when Homo Depot marked their Christmas stuff 75% off New Year's Day '08. They weren't nearly as bright, but I got used to them real fast when I saw the December electric bill didn't jump like in past years. Plus, I liked the fact that when I stepped on one and broke about 1/2 the plastic housing off the "bulb," it still lit!
