Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

Turned out to be a great thread!!!

Love all of the photo's and captions.
Robert, yours cracks me up the most....
I love the subliminal visuals!
It almost looks like he has a gay flag on the grill of the car in the middle. Not to mention the "Jewelery" store, and not to mention the Market. Looks to me that it would say "Big Food's".
Priceless....

HI

Fishees from Mohonk Mountain House. The dark dude in the middle comes right up and sucks your finger. It's amazing. People wait in line to get their finger sucked.

THE WOMEN ...

One of my favouirte movies! I can't wait to see the 2008 version, although I'm going to look upon it as yet something new, and not a remake -- how can you do better than the 1939 perfection. Saw the play in DC a few years back and it was awful.

I have several friends who are into this movie as well and we refer to each other by the names of the characters -- I am Sylvia Fowler (Mrs. Howard Fowler to you).

Oh yes Laundress, you matched the dialogue with that pix perfectly! I can play drop the needle anywhere in the dialogue.

Please read the play by Clare Boothe Luce as well. The opening is different as the play starts with the women playing bridge ... not at Sydney's as in the movie ...

"Sydney' miniatures
"Sure sign of a petty mind ...

"<blah, blah, blad> Mrs. Hanines ...
"WHAT?, What'da know?, where did ya hear? ...

The Women...Third Remake

Keep in mind that this "new" version is the 3rd remake.

The second remake was "The Opposite Sex" 1956, with June Allison, Joan Collins, Dolores Grey, Ann Sheridan, Ann Miller, Leslie Nelson, and Agnes Moorehead. It is great, and very campy. It is actually a Musical Version.

Thanks, Brent ...

I did not know about "The Opposite Sex." Thank you. Anything Agnes Moorehead was in is bound to be good!!!

Rob.

You will love it Rob!
Agnes Moorehead plays the "countess". It is one of the only of a few "beautiful and attractive" roles she ever played.
You will get a kick out of how drop dead gorgeous Joan Collins was! Should have been illegal!
