Hi gang! I saw from the photo posted by gansky1 (which is a GREAT PHOTO, incidentally!) that there's a container of the vintage Liquid "all" and one of "Wisk." Can anybody clarify if there was much difference in the two products back then? Was Liquid "all" basically a bargain brand detergent?

We used liquid all for many years, not a bargin brand. It was called Liquid Cold Water All. Always used it for colored clothers, but usually in warm water. Did a great job and had a wonderful scent. Terry

I still use Liquid all

from time to time (I generally use liquids in winter, powders in summer). Does a good job, less expensive than liquid Tide, but not a bargain brand, like Xtra.

Smells good, but doesn't smell as good as the formula sold in the 70s.

Liquid All & HE

We use Liquid All and it has the "HE" logo on the front of the bottle. I believe we paid $4.29 for it at Target.
It's definitely low sudsing, and if you add a little bit of Borax it's even more low sudsing. You get a relatively clean rinse as well. The second rinse is much clearer than the first.

Seasons

"I generally use liquids in winter, powders in summer)"

Is this because of the difference in the incoming cold water temp between summer and winter?
