does any know if Hotpoint has a liquid detergent holder/insert for the aqualtis model as for i really need one, because one time the i poured the liquid detergent into the draw and start the machine and the machine drain the detergent:/

any help or ideas?

oh i don't have a detergent ball or even like using them, they make a racket wen washing a small load

Im not sure if Hotpoint even make liquid dispensers these days, if they did im sure they would be included with at least the TOL machines and ive never seen one.

Only chance you have is to use a ball, they dont make that much of a racket, no more than a button or zip would make against the glass, or to pour the liquid in when the water starts flowing.

Take a look at the "Spares and Accessories" website.

AEG Electrolux makes an insert for liquid detergents, but it is well hidden in the spares website. Curiously enough, the part is not in stock in UK, but it is available in France.

By the way: why not simply pouring the detergent over the load once it is in the drum? This is how I do it[this post was last edited: 7/27/2011-14:19]

If its the small and mighty liquid id just be tempted to chuck it in the drum, that small dosing ball they now supply hardly makes any noise cos it soon gets lost in the clothes,

Seeming as the normal Ariel/Daz liquids are hard to find in most supermarkets if its still made at all??? Id reckon its not worth buying a liquid dispenser for the drawer unless you use Formil regular liquid which AFAIA is the only non compact or concentrated liquid left in the UK.

If you don't wish to pour it over the clothes, consider folding an old tea-towel into a 'pad' and, making a conical shape, tucking it down the leading edge of the drum after you have filled it. Pour the liquid detergent into the cone where the material will either hold or absorb it and then start the machine straight away.

You could try pausing the machine once the short drain has commenced and then dispense the liquid in the drawer, plus you have the advantageous instant door lock release so no waiting around too.

All the best

thanks guys i really appreciate the ideas, by the way, where can you buy to formil detergent i have seen my friend mum use it once by never questioned it

guess what i heard

i've heard that the indesit prime washing machine has a detergent insert where it can hold liquid detergent and its removable, which i find to be out of order because the aqualtis is meant to be the boss of all of indesit & hotpoint range of washing machine.

does anyone here or know someone who has a indesit prime washing machine 9kg and do they have a detergent insert?
thanks
dave

Hi Dave

Guess what? The latest aqualtis models state in their manuals that they have a liquid measuring insert. I assume the detergent dispenser is the same as yours, so I guess you could email hotpoint and order one.

Hope that helps.
