I'm thinking this wasn't one of the more serious choices for cooking, but it belongs in everyone's everymans appliance museum, maybe?

Wow!  I remember seeing ads for these, but never actually saw one.  Guess this may be as close as I'll ever get... LOL

 

I can't remember for sure if this range offered the option of cooking using both the conventional oven elements and the microwave simultaneously;  I have vague recollections of claims that it would cook and brown a turkey in something like 2 hours...  

 

Who might have made the rest of the range?  Tappan, perhaps??  It sure looks like the Corningware ranges, too.

We had a similar range for a while, although ours wasn't a smooth top. Never tried using the microwave part, the regular oven did OK.
