Do u happen to have any Ge catslogs u want to sell? I've been looking and can't find ANY there r a few on eBay but the price is ridiculous. I thought they only manufactured them in the 70's the latest also but...

John found a 70s era 24" ff in the 80s. It had the bluish spun aluminum control panel with the toggle switches on the left and the timer on the right. It was made in Canada. I believe it was sold to someone who needed a cheap 24" washer.

I'd love to find an extremely early 24" model someti

GE offered 24" washers since the advent of the perforated tub, maybe earlier (although I haven't seen any evidence of one as yet). They were such a small percentage of their market that they rarely made it into the retail catalogs. They do appear in catalogs in the mid-Sixties for a couple of years. I'll see if I can find an example. Occasionally somebody posts a picture of a FF with a strange backsplash/control panel and these were often 24" models. You saw them a lot in NYC where dealers regularly kept them in the inventory for space-challenged customers.

Here are two models from 1966:

Innards?

How were the mechanicals in these machines? Did they differ much from their full size kin?
