Look another western electric phone!

And its one year older than my other one! Its a 1965 Western Electric model 500

This a keeper as well. Its in very good condition with BAKELITE handset!

For $5 at the goodwill it was too good to pass up.

I am getting a constant date line of September 14-15 of 1965 for the manufacture date.

The backside of the dial looks like brand new and didn't have a spec of dust in it. Spins very quiet like it should.

haven't tested it yet but I am more than sure it works based on condition.

That's the phone I grew up with. You are making me feel older by the minute! I still love the ziiiip sound when you dial those phones.
