Is this really possible?
I find it hard to believe a snake that size could make it thru the water lines and into a washer.
Thru the fresh water,can't imagine,All washer have screens from the water supply to the machine itself.
Thru the discharge hose maybe, but would there not be lint filters and really small holes for it to try and get thru?
And if the snake wanted water, wouldn't it be happy with the first available source it found,like the basement?
Why would it crawl 2 floors up?
A snake coming thru the showerhead?
How?
Maybe I don't know much about snakes,but this seems really set up to me.

Snakes *in* water supply pipes (shower, faucet) highly unlikely.
Snakes crawling along pipes in walls, attic, basement, maybe.
Snakes in drain plumbing (toilet, sink, shower stall), yes. Have seen snakes in toilet bowls.
Snake getting INTO washer VIA any type of plumbing, not likely. Crawling under machine, over tub, to perceived source of moisture, yes.

now I've seen almost everything!
Several years back right here in Stoneham we had a DODO loose his "pet" hooded cobra! We were on alert for over a year ,everytime I walked in the woods with Al I kept an eye out. FINALLY after a year it turned up. During recess at the local elementary school a kid reached into his cubicle to retrieve his lunch and there it was coiled up in the back of his cubicle!!
It had been living down in the boiler room all winter long!
I believe the jerk did or almost did time for his stupidity!
He said he bought it to impress girls in his convertible!!

They heard it in the ceiling,saw it behind a fridge.
They left powder on the floor to see if they could track its crawlings.
Thanks to Canadian cold weather, they shut the heat off to the building all winter and never found the snake.
They presume it died somewhere.
The nut that had it,worked at a bakery in Toronto and kept a cobra in a tupperware container in his locker.
They found it after he was fired and someone went into his locker to clean it out.

And there was a woman who found a coral snake in her dryer after she went to unload her clothes. This was right here in our subdivision. Turned out the dryer exhaust was just a few inches over some gravel landscaping on the outside of her home. The snake felt the warmth and in the vent it went.
The clothes were left in the dryer for a couple of days after the cycle completed.

A dog (pit bull) was bitten by a rattle snake here just this week.
Every day there is yet another local and or national news report about some other exotic animal being found in some idiot's home. The all time best was the man keeping a tiger, and almost an entire zoo in his New York City housing estate apartment. Now HOW one keeps a fully grown tiger a secret in a housing estate, one will neve know. Especially since it was never house-broken, and watered everywhere.
They have no sense some people.

ok all that said Im with RPM, how oh how could a snake survive todays pressuerized water systems? It did not get in the washer that way. How stupid do these newscasters think we are. Awhile ago I made a post about how unreliable the news was these days and here we go this IS a prime example.Again how stupid do they think we are.The showerhead....no
Now comming up through the sewer, yes for sure. Even seen that in person at a farm once.Wondered into the machine from the bottom up and over the basket, yes.Into the dryer vent, makes sense,hehe another snake takes the tumble.Too bad it dosent kill them.
oh well I guess into each life a snake must show but again I dont see the point in it and when I get to heaven (if) Ive got a few bones to pick about all that. (sorry snake lovers)
Now some intresting side notes..when i was eight or so I thought itd be awfully funny to wrap one of those plastic snakes around my moms agitator..........end result wasnt so funny and the END was hot, if you know what I mean.
Was forced to live at my sisters for a while and her son had pet snakes in a glass incasement in the living room. I had to sleep in that room with the mo fos every nite.BUT I at least got over my pobia enough now that I can look at snakes and not throw up. (sigh)but I still dont like them and dont want them anywhere near me or on my person.
My cousin dated a guy with a big long 8 foot snake. The first night she slept at his place it crawled into his waterbed with them while they were asleep. She woke up thinking god this guy is all over me and he is quite the hugger..............then he walked into the room from the kitchen to see if she woke up yet and if she wanted to have breakfast.
