I was drivning through Haberfield, a beautiful old neighbourhood near where I live one weekend and noticed that it was council clean up time. As Haberfield is a very old suburb i thought I would drive around and see what I might find. I was not dissappointed! It is not in that great condition. It is missing its motor and someone yanked of the lid but I never new that this particular model existed so I couldn't let it go.

Let me introduce to you Simpson 105 rocker switch model circa 1976.

I like the agi too...

Simpson agitators were a evolution of the Maytag agitator. Simpson also had three different size agitators, the Minimatic had a minature of the Maytag powerfin and the Delta was similar but with triangular shaped fins. Here is a minimatic agitator.

Hi Arrooohhh,
There were 4 agitators - the Minimatic had early and late, plus the full size Simpsons and the Delta. The earliest Minimatics had a blue agitator and the 4 vanes did NOT protrude past the conical base. As it was a fairly poor wash action, the revised version extended the fins out past the conical base to give a more vigorous action. The beige Minimatic agitator in your photo is the later one.
I actually have a Delta, one of the later ones, a Delta S. It has less options than the earlier Delta 10 and uses an electric pump intead of a belt driven pump. It is way in the back of my shed, blocked in by several other machines but one day I will eventually put new bearings in it.

Chris.
