I didn't know if needed one of these till our current 3 year old microwave bit the dust. Found this RR-9T on FB for 20 bucks. After a thorough cleaning and believe me it was filthy it came out alright. Everything works as it should, I might consider recapping it at some point but I'm not in a hurry. I have to stopped at the store today and pick up a bulb though. I like this one but I personally would rather have a RR-4.

I used plenty of clorox cleanup and barkeepers friend..... Twice over. The outside chrome actually looked like it had been scrubbed down to the base coat and the keypad looked worn away. I know this was owned by an elderly gentleman that was in his 90's when he passed and his daughter had just moved it off to another room, now a year or so later she puts it up for sale and that's where I came in. It always amazies me what a little elbow grease will do.

Look what broke at my house

So this 9TA has been working wonderfully till today. Now we tried to heat something up and it starts and runs as normal but it's not heating anything up. I guess I need cadman here. I am a aircraft mechanic by trade so I have no problem testing what needs to be tested, got all the tools, nice fluke multimeter and a really nice hakko soldering station. There doesn't seem to be any problem with the control panel as the numbers all work, no blinking or flashing. That doesn't mean I'm not going to recap at some point though. Right now I'm asking for what the most common thing might be before I dig into this.

I unplugged it while I was doing some checks, the big capacitor checked out good. While I was checking both transformers for 120 volts which they both had I put a mug of water in it, set it for 2 minutes and low and behold it was hot. Now it seems to be working as normal. Does this have a resettable fuse in it? The only thing I can think of is I have two kids. I'm wondering if they ran it without any thing in it.
