Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Love it!

Please forgive my know-nothingness.
But about what year would that machine be from?
I've always been a fan of washers/dryers, but know painfully little about them.
Based on appearance, I would guess this was a fairly high-end model?
And would this have a traditional agitator, or the vertical action type? (Sorry, I don't know the correct term for it)
In any case, it appeals to the "ooh...shiny" part of my brain, based on its looks alone.

TOL!

Barry,

Yes, this was the top of the line in 1977. It has the large 1-18 agitator. I have a 1978 model that is my daily driver. You can't go wrong with this machine. And if you notice the white panel below the face of the console...it has a full width fluorescent light! Go for it!

1-18 Sprinkler

Peter,

That button came from a Frigidaire dealer in Claysville, PA. IIRC, they only got enough pins for their employees to wear. I got this one when they closed and I bought all of their parts and literature.

Have you ever seen the 1-18 sprinkler in the pic below? I have all 4 different styles of sprinklers.
