Hi there, I once saw a video of a dishwasher with a rotating dishes basket. It had a see-through lid an was a toploading DW or even an electrical sink. Instead of an impeller it had a spinning rack. Very impressive. Don't know where it was, may be here or on youtube.com. Can anybody help out with the link, please? Thanks in advance...

I do belive this is what you are looking for!   This machine was customized by the webmaster of this site - it is a triumph in engineering to say the least!!

Thanks Paul!  Yes that is my 1965 Lady Kenmore dishwasher that I customized by putting in a window and interior lighting (lights shine in from the outside via a second window put into the left side of the machine).

Here is the link...

Oh cool!  I didn't think to post the whole thread about how this came to be - it still amazes me!

And if my Chris ever asks, no, I don't want him to cut a hole in the side of the impeller version of the roto-rack machine I am still restoring... LOL

Thanks, but...

This isn't the machine I am looking for because as I wrote, it was a toploading one and had no lights on it... So no roto-rack here... Another idea anyone?

The Roto-rack...

...really performs splish-splash action. I wonder how newer AEG Electrolux dishwashers do the job because they only have one (!!!) nozzle on the satellite lower spray arm...

Don't they now take 4 or more hours to clean a load of dishes? I guess that is how they make one nozzle work.

Our Bauknecht...

...PowerClean machine (similar to Whirlpool's) needs four hours too if you go all the way (eco programme + power clean feature). Normally I think they should not take more than two hours. After all, it's a household item and no rocket science...
