1958 but it's got no clock! How can you tell how many hours you have been scorching your tits over a hot stove if the stove has no clock? It will be interesting to see if this range uses the plug out surface units like you just bought or if they are wire in. This might not be deluxe enough to have plug out units.

Hans, very cool! I have never seen one like it, very interesting control panel! And you also got that great set of parts that will come in very handy!

Congratulations!

"All 58s used the WH :Plug Out: units...Notice I just bought a bunch of them!!LOL"

Hans, a point I would raise about your statement: Even in 1965 there were lower end Westinghouse ranges and builtin cooktops with lift-up wired in surface units according to the brochure I have for the full line of 1965 Westinghouse cooking products. The 3 upper end units did have the plug-out surface units, while the bottom 4 models has wired in lift-up units.

The plug-out surface units first appeared in 1955. The model BH in the museum with the 30" wide oven and the divided cooktop has plug out surface units.

Yes...

In 65 they DID use some wired in units..but for 1 year, 1958, all Westinghouses used Plug Out units...according to the 58 instruction manual I have..one thing for sure, the terminal block/contacts used on these are a million times better than the cheap flimsy things used today.
