In celebration of this beautiful season, we made up a batch of latkes using the recipe of a friend's grandmother.

WONDERFUL!

I have eaten these many times at my friend Steve Rileys house, I love them, I cant wait to try this recipe, ..how are you liking the Westinghouse?

Oh Kevin...

How I miss that Range. I think the Corox Units were better than GE's Calrod. They were not quite as thick as the Fridgidaire's Coils. But just in the middle of Calrod and Fridg. Radiant Tubes. I belive they offer more "Precise" heat.
That said, My Dad loves Potato Pancakes and I promised him on Christmas Day I will make them. My version is more of a "Roiste Potato" which is pretty much what you did only sans the Pancake mix and the Baking Powder. But as all of your recepes are, I will try it especially after the Chocolate Pumpkin Pie !!!!
Ohhhh !!! Here are the Last Two right out of the oven. (I may have to bake 2 more tomorrow.) They are a Hit here on Old Cape cod amongst my friends.

OOOH Kevin!

Those Latkes look positively scrumptious! Sadly I have not had the joy of eating any this Chanukah, it's a shanda!

Made the Latkes...

On Christmas Day for My Dad. I made him peel and grate the potatoes. He's 81 and wanted soooo much to be a part of the Dinner Prep.

They were Fabulous. Made homemade apple sauce with them. Prime Rib, Latkes and Braised Red Cabbage.

Extiguish all Pilot lights, Open Windows and Bungee Cord the bedding to the bed before sleeping !!!LOL

I Made!

The Latkes tonight, also had popovers and home made vegatable soup, it was a cool evening here so thats what Don wanted...thats what he got!
