Well today I tried the Electro-Blender with raspberries.
You wanted to know if it could pulverize the seeds.

I loaded it with

Black & Red raspberries

It blended

quickly and very quietly, but it did not crush the seeds as in the Vita Mix. Blade tip speed is too low I wager. My new VM turns out at 30,000 RPM and the Electro turns out at somewhere between 10-15,000 RPM, which is not fast enough to over take the seed in the slurry and whack them.

But this Oster does a much better job quicker than any other Oster in my collection, more powerful motor and the blades if you remember are mounted much higher in the glass!

I have to get one of those Electro Blenders for my collection. BTW I gave in and bought one of the Oster Fusions at WalMart because of it's reversing blades and surprisingly it works quite well. Has two settings one for salsa etc and another for icy drinks etc. On the lower setting it starts out slowly back and forthing and then speeds up a little so the salsa etc doesn't get pureed.. works pretty good. Does a good job on the higher speed for smoothies as well, it's a wee bit loud though. The blade isn't the standard oster blade, it has two exta downward pointing blades. When I get a sec I'll video it doing the salsa, cha cha cha.

I want a Vita Mix..they look cool...

I remember seeing the commercial for this machine...pour in hot water, a few veggies and you got soup!....great idea for a blender...

And those rasberries look awesome....makes me wanna go make a smoothie now!...and I just may...if I start to slur my words later you'll know I used too much vodka..lol

Wonderful pictures, mouthwatering!! A pity it doesn't totally crush the seeds, but that's a challenge for a blender. I have no blender that totally pulverizes them. Thanks for the report!

BTW, did make some raspberry smoothies in order of a state visit...!!!

That Raspberry smoothie does look good even if the seeds aren't pulverized.So far the VM and Blendtec machines pulvirize the strawberry seeds with no problem in my smoothie drinks.Even the monster VM XL will smash the seeds-despite its slower speed-think it makes up for that with the larger 4 wing blades.Will have to look for an Electro-Blender-the machine seems to be very impressive-the Mother of all Oster blenders!Surprized that machine wasn't sold for bar ,commercial,and lab use.Oh yes-whats the recipe for the Raspberry smoothie you made-would like to try it!

Black Rasp frozen from Tjoes
Fresh red rasp.
1/2 banana
tangerine juice
protein powder for 20 gms of protein
and ice..DEELICIOUS

BTW

I meant to say that Electro Blender would make a terrific smoohtie out of any other fruit without seeds. It blends very nicely for sure.

My favourite smoothie

1 ripe banana
some frozen raspberries
(if I have them some seedless red grapes)
multivitamin fruit juice
vanilla yoghurt

If you want seedless blackberry juice...

Why not use a juicer?

Mehtinks a blender retains the fiber, which a (good)* juicer does not.

*anything better than a oridnary citrus reamer.

The seeds contain most of the fiber and phytonutrients.
Thats the beauty of a Vita Mix and such.

Eddy those smoothies are working or you have been putting time in at the gym! Glad SOMEONE got to go to Louis's!
