great lamp

Greg, I think the lamp is great! What you need now is a TV lamp to to set on top of the tv. When I was a kid, ours rotated and had a picture of a waterfall. Wow, that was a long time ago. How about a pink lamp base with designs in the shade that was made out of parchment or something like that. Have fun. Gary

Ugh! Me too!

Here are some photos of the lamps sprinkled around my bedroom. :-)

On my desk... a gift from a very dear friend of mine.

Another.

This one is on my dresser... I fully restored it. It came to me without a shade, and the paint flaking off of it. I sanded it, primed it, and repainted it. Found a shade, and it's gorgeous!

Last One.

I have a matching set of these... on my nightstands. The color is a bit funny in the photos.. but they are chartreuse and black on the base, with chartreuse shades. :-)

I rewire all of my lamps before I use them...

I am a lamp freak!

I have a bijillion 50's lamps, but this is my latest one. I bought it from a great little antique store in Omaha (Antiques and Fine Arts - which is on 16th Street, next to King Fongs, which is Omaha's oldest restaurant)

It says it was made by "Rembrandt Lighting Company" which, as far as I can tell, still exists, and is known primarilly for those torchiere affairs you always see at funeral homes. I don't think this came out of a mortuary though.

Nice Dan

I've been tempted to post pictures of my latest lamps but I've resisted. Once I got started I probably couldn't quit.

Dan, it's so good to have you back posting pictures of your awesome finds. I really enjoy it a lot.

Glad you liked the lamps

Here's a triple shot to start your morning.

The one on the sideboard is a Stiffel. That's not the original shade, but I think it looks cool.

The hanging fixture is a lightolier. What's neat about it is that it slides along a little track, so that it you expand the table out for company, you can always keep your fixture centered over the table.

The pole lamp is something I salvaged out of the "as-is" bin at the salvation army. It's pretty, but those globes aren't the original, are severely cracked, and they are all on the verge of implosion, LOL

Great stuff guys

OK, here are some of my most recent lamps. I have one danish modern room, my sunporch. I recently acquired some very cool danish modern lamps. I'm going to be swapping out the lamps I currently have out there with these.

There are the oldest American made danish modern lamps I have ever seen. These seem to date to the late forties. Very unusual to find that style in that time period.

This thing is huge

30 bucks at a flea market 2 weeks ago. This is a very tall lamp. It's as tall as the non-vintage washer in the background.

Not lamps, but recent flea market finds

Some recent flea market finds that I was thrilled with. Actually, the tall lamp above and the stuff I'm about to post were all found at the same flea market on one glorious day. I got there late and most of the dealers had left and the rest were packing up. Yet I was still able to snag this stuff.

A pair of jetson-style intercoms. Unfortunately, they no longer work.
