I learned in this process there is a car category "Ratrod." I think this piece started out as a Ratrod -- until I painted it. Now it is a Hotrod. Apparently Ratrods are made of scrounged parts and designed to look rough and unsafe. Right up my alley, actually, but my muse told be to paint it yellow. ....and I have learned to follow my muse. ...and the thing about working with a good muse is that you never ask her where she's been or when she will be back. But when she wants to work, you work.
Hey, Rocketwarrior! I took a look at your website...and I loved "Walfredo," your conga player! Cool job, bro'! As you can guess, I dig play'n hand percussion, and "Walfredo" looks like he's groovin', too!
Bongobro - Interesting that you should note Walfredo (I am/was a drummer also.) I should put my "hot" base drum solo on YouTube). Anyway, Walfredo was "on loan" to an eating establishment here in Omaha that sold out and was remodeled by another restaurant. In the meantime, Walfredo disappeared. It took me over a year to track him down (and I had to write a lawyer letter)and get him back.
P.S. Insiders are aware that Walfredo, behind the drum, is anatomically correct. Restaurant staffers had a lot of fun sharing that secret with select clientele.
