I am going to pick up a car a purchased this weekend leaving Friday night and driving back on Saturday. Along the way I will be passing through Ann Arbor, MI; Cleveland & Columbus, OH areas, & through Pennsylvania. I was wondering there would be anyone in those areas that may be available to meet so I could see their collections. My partner and I are driving there in one car, and then coming back in two separate cars.

I included a link to the auction, as I cannot seem to extract the pictures from the auction. I borrowed a picture from someone so credit should go to: http://www.libertysoftware.be/cml/gallery/1976/76pics.htm

What a nice Caddy! I bet it will be a blast to drive!
Bring lot's of credit or cash for gas money!
Congratulations on your new Fleetwood!

Enjoy the ride!

That '76 Cadillac looks fabulous - it will be a nice ride back in that cruiser deluxe! Probably made right here in Detroit at either the Fleetwood or Clark St. plant.

Sorry to miss you - while I don't have much of a collection, it's always fun to meet other members. The weather is supposed to be mild (for November) this weekend, so it should be good for traveling. Congrats on the new ride!

Pulsator - No worries, perhaps another time we shall meet.

Runematic - Haha thanks! but not my style lol.

Kevin313 - Yes, I checked on the VIN code, and it states it was built in Detroit, MI. Just don't know what week or month yet till I read the body codes underneath the hood.

Countryguy & A440 - Thanks for the kind words, I will enjoy it very much.

Oh Toggles, your always good for a laugh :-)

It's going to take me 650 miles, and at around 12 mpg tops, that's t least 54 gallons of fuel. For what my Grand AM is costing round trip, the Caddy is costing more one way! Once I saw that car, I had to have it. Well if anyone winds up being around on Saturday, just let me know. It would be a pleasure to meet any one of you along the way home.

Brian - you have great taste in cars! 75/76 Fleetwood Broughams are, IMO, the best of the best for 70's luxo barges. Someday, someday...

Does it have any unique options? Auto locking doors, illuminated entry, moon roof, Track Master, etc.?

UPDATE: WAIT, this is an EFI car? Better bring an extra ECU for the trip home! You got a heck of a deal.

Ben

Hey Brian

I will probably be down next weekend.

Congratulations on that Land Yacht. What a trip it will be to see that year Caddy again. I left NJ in 1975, what fun to "cruise the 'vard" in that. I'll call you next week. Eddie
