These cookies are from a cookbook that was put out by the Junior League of Baton Rouge called "River Road Recipes." The cookbook came out in 1959 - my copy is from the early 60's, but it is still in print and sells well.
Ralph loves anything oatmeal, so this one caught our eye - these are good cookies! Why they call them macaroons I'm not sure - no egg whites, no coconut...anyone know?
