Maybe that scene was too hot to show back in 1959 when the film was released.
For some reason, I find that scene reminiscent of Anna Nicole!

That movie had it all! I caught the Mystery Science Theatre 3000 treatment, had Paul Anka, Ray Anthony, Gloria Talbot, a bunch of nuns rounding up bad girls in a '58 Edsel Bermuda woody, a togged out '59 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer drop-top, and Mamie weeping openly to Paul Anka's version of Ave Maria. Mamie's shower scene was hotter than Janet Leigh's, they should have put it in.
