I have a Maytag 608. Timer switch (2-04476-3)became defective. I've send it for repare and want to install it back. Unfortunately, I've lost the paper on which I wrote witch wire goes where..... Can anyone help? Wiring diagram? Photos of both side of the time would also do or a link to a web site.

Thanks in advance for your help

According to Partstore.com, the 606 and 608 machines use the same timer. I have a 606 console with the wiring all intact. I can take a few pics and post them here later tomorrow.

thanks "goatfarmer". The wires are marked and the timer also.
Unfortunatly, there are 3 wires without marks....

First one is black from the regular/gentel push button switch which has two lugs going to the timer. One lug is mark "32" and goes to the back of the timer. To which terminal lug goes the second lug of this wire?

Second: What about the two wires of the timer motor. Where do they go?

"GSD-DAN", can you check this out on the one you have?

Thanks in advance for your help

The 606 console I have sounds like it has a different timer manufacture than yours even though the part# is the same (Maytag sourced from both Kingston and Mallory for timers). On the 606 console, there is an unmarked terminal lug next to "32" which is where the second terminal goes. It's the only unmarked terminal lug on the entire timer, so look for an unmarked terminal lug that's about the same length as the wire.

As for the timer wires, there are 2 lugs that are marked "TM". Since we are dealing with AC current, either wire can go to either terminal lug.

Hope this helps!

Upon closer examination, I take that statement back. There's a terminal marked "3S" (not 35) which is the terminal lug next to "32". The marking is considerably distant from the terminal, unlike all of the other terminals which are marked very close to their respective terminals.
