I have an A208 Maytag that works well but the timer does not advance automatically.

I took the timer motor out to try to replace it first.

This has a small brass gear instead of the larger plastic ones I have seen.

The timer number is 2-4454-1. The motor is 28058

Does anyone know where to get a motor like this or if it can be fixed?

timer motor

the timer motor detaches from the gearbox bt turning the motor while holding the
gearbox-takes about 1/8 turn to unclip the motor, but i do not remember which
direction...Once seperated, you can oil the motor's rotor shaft-oil may have gotten
gummy, stopping rotation of the very low power timer motor.
