As long as it isn’t too runny, I would say yes.
The main concern with thin lubricants see on a Maytag carriage is the possibility of something too fluid running down the motor shaft and getting on the belts, causing them to slip. Although, even if you do use something with a low viscosity, you will most likely be fine as long as you are very careful in your application of it. The other thing is to make sure that it is safe for plastics so that it doesn’t react with the polypropylene glides.
