The cycle selector switch is not operating Permanent Press and Delicates as indicated in the user manual.  During cool down on PP, it does the first 45 second spin/drain, refills and then goes right into a full spin/drain for the deep rinse.  It skips the second 15 second spin/drain/refill/pause and spin/drain/spray rinse.

On delicates, it agitates for one minute at the ten minute mark on the timer (unlike the two minute agitation as indicated in the manual), then soaks until the three minute mark where it agitates for one more minute.  Then it soaks again until the spin/drain before the deep rinse.

Is the switch malfunctioning or is this due to changes during a later production run?  The regular cycle works as it should, as does the "soak only" and "timed soak" cycles, which makes me think there's nothing wrong with the timer.

Thanks for your considered responses!  You all are a great help!

Bill, the sequence you describe is what I experienced with the commercial Fabric Matic cycle sequences for PP & Knit/Delicate and Wool  cycles in Laundromats.  To me, it's operating appropriately for those two cycles.

Thanks Bob!

I appreciate your response!  I just wasn't sure.  I actually put a different cycle switch on today and ran it through the cycles and it behaves exactly the same with the new (old) switch too.

How long does 1st pp pumpout take to trigger the water level switch? If it takes the entire 45 seconds it will skip the 2nd pumpout. Notice the spec sheet says approximate. What does it do on the lower water levels?
The level switch stops the 1st pumpout not the timer, pump could be getting slow or pump belt could be too loose.

Thanks for all the helpful advice!  I'm out-of-town for a few days, but when I get back, I'll look into these issues.  I want it running as it should!
