Maytag A712 Is No Longer Filling Properly

At the small water level, the washer begins to fill then stops with 3 1/2 inches of water in the tub.
Using reset, the water continues to fill but, not at the set water level.
The only way it will continue to fill and start agitating is I'll have to use the reset.

Check…

To make sure the hose to the water level switch is still connected and in tact. If so the water level fill switch may have simply gone bad altogether. Does it operate correctly at other levels?

Thank you, Jon, no it's the same for all water levels.

The water level switch is going bad. I still can use the washer, just have to slide the Reset level downward to start it agitating
