I'm new here and just bought a Maytag A712 washer (for 50 bucks) that was lightly used over the years. It looks and runs great. I decided to go retro because of the look and quality of these machines. As you might expect, I'm now looking for a matching DE712 electric dryer. I recently saw a 1964 J2LP square tub wringer at an antique shop. It looks to be in almost mint, unused condition. It has the owners manual and original bill of sale dated June of '64. The lowest price they'll take is $380.00, but I may get it lower, if I decide to buy. Any thoughts on this? I'll post pictures of both in the next few days.

$380

That does sound like a lot. If it was truly unused they could command top dollar. On Ebay a few years ago a Brand New E2LS in Pittsburgh sold for $850. It had the original paper still on the wringer rollers.
But then again I paid $250 for my avocado E2LPS.
