Hey everybody! I have a question for all you Maytag experts. As some of you may know I have been working on my A208S and I now have a quick question. I have a couple Maytag agitators that fit in my machine, but, they are the later version with a screw instead of just using the lip (which is still exists on the agitators I have) and having it pop over the rubber bump to hold it in place. I want to know, can I use these agitators in this machine? Should I remove the rubber bump and use the screw? Or should I close the hole with silicone and use the bump? Thanks!!!

You don't have to do either. You can use the set screw without removing the rummber stop ring. My suggestion is to leave it there, cause when you want to use the Power Fin again, then it is already there.

Since the set screw goes into the groove for the oring it will probably ruin the oring if left there. Its easy to remove the ring and save it for another agitator if you need it. You can always buy another if you lose it. they are very cheap.
