Maytag AMP Motor Needed HELP !!!

Hey Guys I aquired the Maytag AMP washer from Brian a club member. Before i pluged it in i took the washer apart and found the motor was missing !! all the motor wires are just hanging inside the cabinet, electric shock un-limited !!! Does anybody have a motor they want to sell ?? Does anybody know if a later model motor will interchange into this washer ?? Thanks for any help John

I thought I would give this posting a bump

hasn't anyone retrofitted a newer motor into one of these older machines? Or was there a big design change? Hope someone has some advice.

I am not sure on all the specifics on the AMP motor, but I do know that it was a cradle motor, and I also assumed that it was 1/3 HP 1725 RPM unit. If someone out there could confirm the motor diameter and shaft length/diameter (assumed 1/2in dia, or 48Y frame) on their unit, we could see if this match I found at work would fit for an AMP (it could be wired for CW rotation only).

Hey Ben thanks for the info on the motor i think i may have a lead from a local supplier buy what is a cradle motor do you have a picture of it ?? John
