I started repair on my Maytag 104 AMP this evening. Iam haveing a difficult time getting the Gyratator removed, does anyone have any suggestions how this is done?

Hi Gary, is there any reason to remove the agitator? I know those instructions I posted say to remove the gyrator, but I believe that just said that to make the whole assembly slightly lighter. I don't think you have to remove it, there is no logical reason, unless its for another reason.
