Hi everyone one of my close friends washers is acting up, first of all it’s triggered the LF error code. We called out the home warranty people who replaced the inlet valve however this hasn’t fixed the issue the error code popped up once but normally it just runs incredibly slow like I tried to run a clean washer cycle on it and it took over a hour just to fill to the top of the tub. And secondly while all of this was going on it started making a really loud thinking noise. Any suggestions as to what the issue could be would be greatly appreciated. I attached a picture so you can see just how little water is flowing into the tub as it fills.

Slow Fill

Have you disconnected both inlet hoses from the washer and pointed them into the washer and turned them on one at a time to see if the house pressure and the shut-off valves are capable of very good water flow ?

This is pretty much a problem with the house plumbing or the inlet valve in the washer.

Yep we checked the hoses and there’s really strong flow out of both the hot and cold valves. It’s just weird it’s still doing this after having the inlet valve replaced already.

Are there any washers or restrictors in the valves themselves you can remove? Also do you get slow filling on both hot and cold ? Maybe you can do what Yogitunes has done in the past and drill the holes bigger in the valve.

yeah....I would just pull the restrictors out.....

seems odd, as you would still get a decent flow for the most part....

I would even check the hose connecting the valve to the flume for any kinks...

keep us posted

Sorry for not clarifying it’s only the hot water that doesn’t fill right. And the flow from the end of the hoses is really strong so it’s not an issue with the hoses because they’ve got great flow coming from them. We’ve also checked and haven’t found any restrictors on the inlet where the hose screws on would it be behind the little screen that keeps incoming water from brining in debris.
