While I was recently pet sitting for a friend, I noticed they have one of the new belt drives. Its a Maytag Centennial that I'm guessing is only a couple years old. It still has the older style control panel, but its a later model as it is one that will fill with the lid open and doesn't do any load sensing. The first load I washed consisted of 4 sets of full size sheets. Surprisingly they fit perfectly with room to move around. I was very impressed with how the load came out. Tonight I did a second load with just regular clothes and I couldn't believe how dirty the water was in both loads. I used the heavy duty cycle with the softener rinse. The only downside to this machine is the cycle time, it took a little over an hour to complete the load. But since this machine still has the flow restrictors in place, it takes nearly 10 minutes just to fill the tub with water. Overall, I was thrilled to finally get to try out one of these machines and was quite impressed with the results.

I have one that is a few years older. It does a full rinse, no control for the softener rinse or the rain rinse. This machine gets put through the paces 5 days a week in a hair salon. Usually 3-4 loads of towels a day. I am impressed with the amount of hair removal with this washer. No lights bells or whistles but does its job. Going on probably 6 years now without a repair, which I understand is good for this model. The only problem with it is the amount of noise it makes when agitating. Have had it checked out when new and they said that is the noise it makes. Funny customers have stated you must have got a new washer, we never heard the old one. That was a GE.

Jon, are you sure your's isn't one of the last DD Maytay Centennials? They didn't start making these until 2011

They started making these in 2010. The MVWC200XW0 came out in 2010. The Whirlpool mid-line models (5500x 5600x 5700x) started production in April of 2010, Maytag in May of 2010. The Whirlpool entry level (4800x 4900x 4950x) in September of 2010. This is from a Whirlpool VMW product introduction manual.
