My Maytag Center Dial LA208 has a small leak that appears on the floor in the back of the machine. Not too much, six or seven paper towels cleans it up. Thought it was the hose attachments since the leak is below the fill valve, but tightening the hoses did not help. Shows up during large wash loads. No static leaks when not running. No leaks on small and medium loads.

I changed the air break injector that prevents accidental back-siphoning of the water. Possible overfilling and sloshing out? Perhaps, water level shutoff problem. If anyone has ideas as to what may cause this type of leak, I would greatly appreciate it. Many thanks, Ken

Run the washer with the front cover off with a full load. Watch the area carefully during the the spin cycle, particularly at the beginning. I'm guessing there's an issue with the tub cover band clamp (loose)/triangular seal (worn/pinched)/outer tub lip (sometimes this area will rust out, particularly if you're a chlorine bleach user).

I don't know if this model has the siphon break on the drain line, but I have seen leaks show up there at rear of the machine during pump out. The injector was also an issue but looks like that's taken care of
