There are still selling updated versions of these.

yes, they are still selling them John. I saw a demo of the current model on Youtube and they rated them above Speed Queen and GE for cleaning. Looked about as close to old school top load washing as you can buy today.
The above pair was abought at a big box store because of the windowed door that as far as I know was only from BB stores. Maytag dealers model didn't have windowed dryter door.
