Water consumption!

Holy moly is right Jon/Jetcone! Thats about 150 litres, and that is an insane amount of water when you think about it. And what's worse is that Maytag TLs are among some of the "water friendly" washers.

Well, I can see how those water amounts seem high when compared to what today's FL machines use.
That said, 40 gallons is a tiny little drop in the bucket when you stop to consider how much water is used by industry in the manufacture of "disposable" goods or the millions of gallons of water it takes to frack a natural gas well, or the 25 - 30 gallons of water required to refine a single barrel of petroleum

The 40gal of water is really NOTHING compared to the EXTERNAL use of water-like watering lawns and gardens, washing cars ,and filling, topping swimming pools-remember-even a SMALL inflatable or rigid "Tot" pool may need enough water for SEVERAL 40gal TL washer loads to fill it!I think these water police are targeting the wrong things as far as washers and dishwashers go.But what do you do when the kids are hot and they want to go for a backyard swim? The best solution is for poloticians to keep their noses out of our water meters, thank you.Use VOTE AWAY there.Its---AGAIN---LET THE MARKETPLACE and CUSTOMERS decide on these water use issues.

xxxxxx gallons of water

my frigidaire uses youst under 300 liters but it can be cutted down to 200 by removing a rinse.
