Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

While the igniter is glowing, wiggle the solenoid back and forth....if it lights the flame its just a simple solenoid issue......but replace both if you do.....

I had this on my Neptune......thought it was the electronics or a sensor....but a simple 1/8th inch movement caused it to fire up.......for about 25.00, problem solved

INTERMITTENT HEATING GAS DRYER

The above suggestions are probably correct, but the first thing to do is test for 120 volts coming to the gas burner. Attach a test light or meter and run the dryer, if it stops heating and you still have 120 volts coming to the burner area you know the problem is in this area. On this style dryer the valve coils are much more expensive and harder to change than the coils that have been used on most gas dryers for the last 20 years or so.

Hi. I'm also in Pittsburgh. Just today I started having the same issue on my DG106. What ended up being the problem with yours? Was it the solenoid. Is this a difficult repair to do oneself?
Thanks,
Jesse
