was one of the models mentioned in this talk. It was the dryer I learned on, and one of the best dryers I have ever used. Always perfectly dry, no matter the size of the load, or the fabrics which made up the load.

OK, I wasn't fond of the dark drum in a (usually) dark basement, but that was my biggest quibble with it. I stuck a flashlight (electric torch) with a magnet built on the flashlight onto the dryer.....

That's because of the multiple sensors.
The only dryer I've ever had that senses laundry really well was a Miele.
They actually use the drum surface there are two bands wrapped around the drum which are picked up by contacts and form the sensor surface.

Most machines seem to just use bars or something similar that only senses the load in one spot really.
