WOW!! What a great day for you both to get those super machines. The set Dan has is wonderful. It will last for years. Those are my favorite top load machines and you have all of the programming you need. The dryer Drew is wonderful.. My step mom had one like that she bought used around 1964 when her and my dad moved to Napa. she used it until 1967 when it went out and they bought a Wards (norge) which she used for many years. The Maytag washer she had was a AMP model with the control panel that looked like your dryer. I turned the mercury tube around so you can open the lid and watch the machine run. Only thing was when it shut off and you opened the lid it started up agitating again. Being home today I filled my 806 with water and ran it agitating. It wasn't sluggish at all. My poor drain hose has some breaks in it. I need to take care of that. A good project and I can clean out the inside of the machine. I had fun playing with it and might just decide to do a rebuild on this machine and look for a dryer to match. Here are some pics. Have fun!!!! Dano
