Maytag gold washer and dryer HA106S & DG306 gas dryer

Time to sell parents Maytag washers and gas dryer. There is a gold pair of HA106S washer and a DG306 gas dryer. There is also a Maytag A107S white washer that I think had a timer issue, not sure. Parents got the gold set and put the other white washer off to the side. Located in Wauwatosa, WI. kinda Milwaukee, WI area

Wauwatosa?  That brings back memories.  When I first started my interest in appliances around 1981, I picked up my first avocado 1969 GE washer at North Av. Appliance at approx. 80th and North Av.  A location that's long since closed as they moved west to about 117th and N. Av. in Wauwatosa.

 

But there used to be a Maytag store in that same area, I think it was called Babke's Maytag.  I wonder if your parents got theirs there.

I’d snatch these up if I were closer. Looks like all they need is cosmetic work (mainly the dials and selector switches) and the dryer probably just needs a clean out of the lint and POR15 on any of the surfaces if the pilot light was kept on for many years along with the outer felt seal if it’s compromised near the burner and air mixer assembly area.

The harvest gold set are 1971 models with the washer being built in October. The white washer was built in February 1975.

Gas was shut off to Maytag dryer

The pilot light was not on in the dryer for years, a gas leak in the lines going to the dryer caused me to shut the gas off to the dryer. Parents didn't venture into the basement due to their age.

Well the Maytags all went to a new home. May sell a Maytag washer that I have in AZ. Will update in a few weeks, that one had a timer issue, recall tells me it was a A106 in white
