If the precious dears are so gently used, why would the washer have required an agitator replacement?

i saw that too, Mix! im no maytag expert, but when i saw the control panel i expected the classic agitator. i assume the machine has the newer short-stroke tranny to go with the agitator?

If .....

They are 20 years old, that might make them early orbital drive units, which if thats the case the agitator is correct.

I found these in my Maytag book, approx 1987-88 and would have come with the Orbital tranny and that agitator.
