Just curious:

Are Maytag chrome knobs and acrylic knobs interchangeable?

The short answer is yes. Not too long ago there was a gentleman here on the blog that was looking for a chrome knob to replace his acrylic one with. I had one laying around so I sent it to him. He said it worked perfectly.
