Maytag LA710

My 25 year old Frigidaire FWT647 quit draining so I pulled out my mother's 1983 Maytag LA710. Pulled the front cover off; it could use some cleaning but it runs just fine.

I have the 511, just like the 510 above but it has a bleach dispenser. Has run like a champ for over 40 years with one $28 part. Too bad so many Maytags of this vintage are still going strong and the newer models are already in the scrap heap.

Ya got THAT right, Tim!
My ole A482 is still going strong too!
The only thing I ever haad to do with it make sure I clean the filter out, and I added a "warm rinse" option pushbutton on the panel.
I swear, that machine will outlive me!

I felt every one of those 225 lb when moving this. Once I get a spare machine running for backup, I'd like to refurbish this. Definitely need new drain hoses to make it reliable for the future.
