Hello,
I have the opportunity to get this Maytag for $30, it doesn’t have the pitman transmission like I wanted but it is TOL (for Australia anyways), or should I wait longer until a lower end pitman transmission machine comes up?

TOL for the mechanical timer models. Still has a full minute spray spin rinse which disappeared in 1994 with new models.

This has an orbital transmission but a pitman transmission is a direct swap. I installed a pitman transmission in my 1992 LAT9900.

For $30, you can't go wrong.

I’ve had the a9400 and loved it, it needed new belts so I got them, but a few months later the tub bearing
Completely failed, I’m not talking about leaking I mean the inner tub would wobble but the outer tub wouldn’t.

Going to pick it up this weekend along with a A23CM Maytag.

I am going to get it, the seller is also selling a 60s whirlpool gas dryer but I already have 3 dryers so I don’t need anymore.

I will keep it stock as I like the orbital transmission, it’s just that they are really common.

The Maytag A23CM I made a huge thread about it, it was the one where I needed the bearing kit.

I think it’s just a stuck brake, I’ve never heard of a bearing completely locking up a tub before.
All it needs is a new nut.

I just need to sell my F&P cleansmart, got someone coming tomorrow to pick it up for $100 (really good deal, they usually go for $600 used just that mine has a few cosmetic issues nothing series at all just wanted a quick sale).
