I've always wondered how much water these used. You can never tell because there is no window on the door. Here is a vid proving they use more water. I think this is the PERFECT water level. It's not too deep, but plenty of water to wash and rinse while not using near the amount of a top load washer. I also like the larger baffles. My Duet uses about this amount, not quite, but almost since I adjusted it up slightly.

window door???

I was not surprised when I saw my first Neptunes and they had no windows.I remember the first Frigidaires that were released about a year before the Neptunes and the windows were a definate sales pitch. The Maytag rep,Ron,claimed that maytag had done some kind of servey claiming that the people who were asked if they felt that a window was an important feature on a washing machine said no,75% of them. Now then, how many people, other than ourselves do YOU know that actualy sit and stare at their HE machines that DO have windows????? I know quite a few who do it but will get up imediately once they see someone is watching THEM!!Furthermore,if they are not so on demand, then why is it that most of the other HE washers and dryers DO come with a see through window???Again, another lie I was told by a Maytag rep

The lack of a window was definitely a deal-breaker when I was looking for a new front-loader about the time the Neptunes appeared.

I can see it now: "Hey, I'm going to open the door and see if there's enough suds." Whoosh-----all over the floor.

Amazing as it is to me, I have had people tell me they've never once opened the lid on their top-loader to see what's going on in there.

Yes, I can remember the Maytag rep. in Atlanta telling me that most people do not consider doing their laundry to be a form of entertainment. Honeeeey Puhleeeez!
I told him I would NEVER buy a f/l without a window.
