The motor carriage rollers and springs were missing??? How strange that the seller told you it was in good working order too! It's a good idea to replace those and the belts anyway, then you'll be good for many years of washing. I moved the 160 pushbutton washer down last night, will post some pics of it later - you'll love the smaller tub washing action with the black filter-agitator!

Greg in your post B4 the last panel headlined "Kevorkian dryer" you get into the Maytag condenser system would you kndly repeat and explain?

or if easier, may I ask you to shoot me an e-mail?

Where is the water sprayed, on the internal drum fan?

I am probalby visualizing the system all wrong in that I see in my head a Frigidaire "filtrator" with two air streams.......

Sorry Steve, I should have explained further - the condenser/no-vent dryer was only available in electric, not gas. I'll see if I can find an illustration of the condenser spray system this afternoon to scan, a picture will explain everything. Basically, the water hit the spinning fan and atomized it creating a cool, wet chamber that condensed the warm, moist air the fan was pulling in from the drum and recirculated this cooled air over the elements and back into the drum again.
