I'm trying to identify which Maytag washer model my grandmother had when I was a kid.  It's been more than thirty years since I've seen it, so my memory may be quite faulty.  It was definitely a pre-1966 model with a bakelite agitator.  It was also a standard capacity model with no lint filter (so BOL).  I do remember that it had the dummy button on it that said "Automatic" too.

But this is where my memory gets sketchy.  I think it had only two temperature options (hot/warm) that were set on the timer dial.  And I think it had two water level buttons for half tub and full tub.

I've searched the internet for photos of some of the early 60s automatics and can't find a photo of what I'm describing.  Thanks for your thoughts!

BOL highlander washer with timed fill. It had the skinny post agitator similar to the wringer agitator. It also had a chrome strip that wrapped around the top. I did come across one about 25 years ago. I never thought Maytag made a timed fill model.
