If I were you, I wouldn't do that
I SUGGEST YOU NOT TO DO THAT,
move it while it stands upright, never move a front-loader on it sides, cause the water may run into the cabinet and make some problems for electronic boards. and of course water can go through the detergent dispenser and makes it such a messy transportation!
other wise if you strongly insist on side moving and if it's a front-load Neptune try to secure the outer tub by attaching the safe-transportation screws which came by washer first time(I'm not sure that the Maytag has it or not, but Miele and my mom's Electrolux has)
try to fully close the dispenser opening, use a cloth, plastic bag or anything to seal the opening from leakage,
and if it has any other opening (especially on the back side)which came from the tub, seal it ,use the same way. that was all
but that was just my idea, experience any thing
