Maytag Stack W/D S1000 cost New around 1986 ?

I am trying to determine what my W/D cost. Going through bad divorce and memories of being single with my W/D before 1989 are all I have. My Maytag didn't know what it was in for...[three kids using two towels a day and a filthy sadistic pretend husband] following that single bliss. 18 years of crud labor until even this machine and my good trusting soul couldn't get the stains out. The laundry needed to be hung out and its just too bad my clothespins weren't big enough to pin his ears to the line to turn a fire hose on him.

As for me, I will be searching for a disinfectant the rest of my life.

What did this beautiful machine cost new? I have the brochure but no receipt/price.

Price of Maytag

These sold where I worked for about $1200-1300. They were very popular considering the price. It was rather involved to install them.
