My A208's damper and brake assembly started acting up. The hot water hose broke open and was shooting water in the hole in the cabinet, for the drain hose. So, water was running inside the cabinet and flowing through the three holes that dump into the bottom. Brake does not stop the tub and when it does try at the end, it makes a horrible grind noise. But the damper pads started working out from under the assy. At that point I stopped it and haven't run it since. This all happened in the first spin cycle. I took the pulley off and blew water out of the brake and reoiled it. After putting it back together it now sounds like a bearing is going out. Its really loud. I started having flashbacks of my Bravos XXL. It didnt sound like that before I took it apart. So If I have to tear it down to do the damper pad assy, might as well do the bearing and seal, but the seal is unavailable and there wasn't a NOS one in the care package of parts my grandparents had. So what is everybody using for seal kits? How is whatever you are using holding up?
