Need to find some serial numbers for this model. The new timer is defective. Any suggestions? Model # is MEDC200XW1.

The serial number isn't on the model/serial tag? How does a serial number help with a new-bad timer on a 2010 model-year machine? Has it been in production for 13-14 years? There isn't a warranty on the replacement timer, 90 days or 6 months or 1 year or some such?
The dryer has been replaced b4 I could get a serial #. I purchased a timer, as i thought that was the problem. The new timer was installed, but did not fix the problem. Also, the new timer does not go all the way around when turned counterclockwise. In order to replace the timer under warranty, I need a serial #. I have never come across a timer that did not turn in both directions.

I would just make one up serial numbers for whirlpool belt dryers begin with the M next digit is the year of manufacture. Next two digits are the week of the year and then there's five digits after that nobody's gonna check on a part warranty claim.
We sometimes have to make up this information and I never have the exact purchase date many times for warranty claims and I always use the 15th day of the month you would think they would catch on lol
